Ravenfeather Assassins Guild
Founded in 20 CE as a religious cult of devotees to Minerva, the Ravenfeather Assassins Guild is one of the oldest and most organized guilds of assassins in all of Western Veladrion. Worship of Minerva is mandatory of every member, and true to Her tenets it is forbidden to conduct business during parties. Also in their long history they have never taken sides. They will work for anybody and against anybody. There are five different factions in the guild: the shadow guard, the hunters, the players, the masks, and the faces. The shadow guard is a dedicated monastic order. They are very secretive and train in martial and shadow arts. The hunters are a lose affiliation of rangers who specialize in stalking and eliminating their targets outside of urban areas. The players are a school of bards. They move openly as entertainers to get close to their targets then eliminate them in secret. The Masks are a society of rogues. They are infiltration specialists who use cunning and guile to get close to their targets and eliminate them. The faces are the only members of the guild who aren't assassins. They handle contract negotiations and all dealings with the clients. Each of these factions operate independently of each other and is led by a master. The five masters in turn make up a counsel that rules over the guild and enforce the strict code of laws that guild members must abide by. The only iconography used by the guild is a seal depicting an open book with a feather on the left page and a dagger on the right.
